Phyllis Hayes Pope

Phyllis Hayes Pope, 88, of Fort Smith, AR, passed away Wednesday, February 27, 2013. She was born March 18, 1924 in Benton, AR to the late Loyd and Mittie (Wofford) McBride. She was retired from Weldon Williams and Lick. She was a Baptist. She was preceded in death by her husband William (Buck) Pope, three sons Dee Hayes, Jerry Pope and Billy Lee Hayes and a brother Dillion McBride.

Funeral service will be 10:00 AM Saturday, March 2, 2013, at Woodlawn Memorial Park Cemetery Chapel with burial in Woodlawn Memorial Park Cemetery under the direction of Edwards Funeral Home.

She is survived by one daughter Terry Vaughan and husband Jim of Fort Smith, AR, one son Randy Hayes and wife Linda of White Hall, AR, one stepson Darrell Hayes and wife Lola Jean of Barling, AR, five grandchildren, eleven great grandchildren and three great great grandchildren.

Pallbearers will be Eric, Carl and Evan Neumeier, Cody Ensey, Stan Slater and Brad Hayes.

The family will visit with friends Friday evening from 6:00 PM – 7:00 PM at the funeral home.
