Ramona "Monie" Brown

Ramona “Monie” Lenington Brown, 73, of Pocola, Oklahoma, went to be with the Lord on December 25, 2015. She was born March 8, 1942, in Fort Smith, to the late Curtis and Cecilia (Hall) Lenington. She was a retired co-owner and operator of Bill’s Food Town in Pocola.

She is survived by Bill Brown Sr.; her son and daughter, Bill Brown, Jr. and Stacey Brown, both of Pocola; two granddaughters, Haylee Brown of Pocola and Tara Brown of Wister; her sister, Sarah Bond of Roland and her brother, Ronnie Lenington of Cedar Vale, Kansas. She was preceded in death by her brother Sonny Lenington and two sisters, Barbara Harvell and Bettye Minton.

Graveside services will be 10:00am Wednesday, December 30, 2015 at Macedonia Cemetery in Pocola, Oklahoma. Services are under the direction of Edwards Funeral Home.

Honorary pallbearers are John Bond, Todd Lenington, Mark Harvell, Tom Minton, Burke Lenington and Cody Lenington.
