Robert Lee Settle passed away January 11, 2023. He was born December 5, 1929 in Allegheny County, Virginia to Clayton Settle and Louvenia (Cox) Settle. Bob was owner/operator of Bob Settle Sales Company for 52 years. He was a Sergeant in the US Army, paratrooper, 82nd airborne. Bob was a member of Good Shepherd Presbyterian Church in Greenwood, Ar. He was a 32nd degree mason, Amrita Grotto, Shriner, and a professional square dance caller and was the first caller for the Dandies square dancers on horseback.
Bob was preceded in death by his son John Settle, five brothers, Paul, Billy, Jim, Claude, and Jack; two sisters Irene and Jennice, and the mother of his two sons Patsy Settle Morris.
He is survived by his son Robert P Settle and wife Terry of Fort Smith, 3 grandsons Kevin and wife Terri of Fort Smith, Jeremy and wife Genevia of Prosper, Tx, and Daniel and wife Elizabeth of Buckeye, Az, and 7 great grandchildren, as well as several much loved nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be Thursday, January 19th, 2023, from 5-7 PM at Edwards Funeral home.
Funeral service will be 2:00 PM Friday January 20th at Edwards Funeral Chapel with burial in Oak Cemetery.
