I met Roger eight years ago when I moved to the apartment complex where he'd lived for thirty years at that time. I know he's gonna be missed around here. I hope the best for the family as they cope with his passing.

Roger will be missed. My hearts and prayers are with his family. May God help guide them through this time. Miss him already.

I met Roger in the 70's. We used to run around together and get in trouble together.I have not spoken to him in years, but think of him a few times a year.Needless to say I feel bad he is gone. Gods Blessings on Roger's family.

New Roger many years ago and it was a shock to hear about his passing.  Had some wild and crazy times on Grand and the garage with Terry, Chuck and others. To bAd we grow apart and then this happens.

I met Roger over 25 years ago while hanging out with my dad at the Waffle House. I was young and full of energy and Roger would give me a hard time about not sitting still. He was such an easy going guy AND he drove a Corvette! I would always flip up the gas lid and tease him about it not having a spoiler. He was such a good sport about it. As I grew older and it wasn't so "cool" to hang out with dad all the time I didn't see Roger as much. I truly enjoyed every moment in his presence as he was cool guy with a generous soul.  He did call me at one time to talk as he was having difficulty dealing with some happenings in his life. I gave him the best advice I could. I was honored that he thought high enough of me to share those things. May you rest in peace my friend, Love ya buddy!

I knew Roger from the neighborhood and school.  He was always happy go lucky and fun.  The world has lost a treasure.

Attended high school with Roger.  He was a funny guy and I liked him a lot.  Sad how we all went our separate ways and lost contact.  Prayers for him and his family.

There are no words to explain how I feel about this... Roger was one of my closest friends and mentor. 6 yrs ago I met this man at Benson's Grill and we became quick friends. Rather than going out and about on the town, hitting bars and clubs like a 23 yr old usually would, I would go out to the restaurant and see him. It was the highlight of my "NightLife" and I will never forget everything he told me. He helped me in both my College Career and my Work Career. I always looked to him for advice and just someone to talk to about the daily goings on in the world.
Through his stories I found out that Roger was on the cutting edge of the "Digital Revolution" for corporations. He started many of the programs I and many techs use today in the I.T. Field. Though I am a Travel Tech for IBM and he worked at a Stationary Location, the programming remained the same. He even gave me one of his college textbooks that I used and passed one of my classes with. I used the book to teach myself Binary Coding and when I took the course later that semester, I passed with no problems.
I will always remember every story he told, every piece of advice he gave, and every person I've met because of this man...
Rest in Peace old Friend and thank you for helping me the the few short yrs we've had together.
