Ron Powell

Visitation will be held at Edwards Funeral Home on Monday, 1/22, from 5pm - 7pm.

Funeral service will be held at First Presbyterian on Tuesday, 1/23, at 1pm with Reverend

Camille Powell of St. Andrews Presbyterian of Tucker, GA officiating. Burial will follow at Roselawn Cemetery, under the direction of Edwards Funeral Home.

Ron was born in Fort Smith Arkansas to Virgil and Betty Powell on April 2, 1947. He went to

high school at Northside High School and graduated in 1965. He was a member of First

Presbyterian Church in Fort Smith as well as the Chief Financial Officer for Riverside Furniture

Company for over 40+ years. After retirement, he enjoyed being outdoors, woodworking, bird

watching, working in his yard, gardening, cooking, painting, playing the hammer dulcimer, and

playing hand bells at First Presbyterian Church of Fort Smith.

Ron is preceded in death by his parents Virgil and Betty Powell, his Aunt Virginia Ellen Powell,

and his Uncle Walter Allen Powell.

Ronald is survived by his wife, Katy and her children, his brother and sister-in-law, Michael and

Pam Powell both of Fort Smith, AR, his children Laurel Powell of Dickinson, TX, Jonathan

Powell and his wife Camille Powell of Decatur GA, and Joshua Powell of Junction City, KS, his

five grandchildren, Lily and Jackson Powell of Decatur GA, Olivia and Elijah Powell of Dickison,

TX, and Caroline Powell of Falls City, NE, as well as his nieces, Sarah Hosier and her children

and Jane Powell all of Fort Smith, AR.

Ron was a loving father and husband and will be missed by all those that he touched.
