Roy Tripp, Sr.

Roy Luther Tripp, Sr., 86, of Fort Smith, passed away January 2, 2016 in Fort Smith. He was born April 12, 1929 in Webb City, AR to the late Troy W. and Myrtle M. (Gilbreath) Tripp. He was a retired Precision Machinist from Baldor and was a veteran of the United States Navy. He was preceded in death by his son, Roy Luther Tripp, Jr.; sister, Betty Walker and two brothers, Bobby Tripp and Junior Tripp.

Funeral service will be 11:00 AM Tuesday at Edwards Funeral Home Chapel with burial to follow at Woodlawn Memorial Park Cemetery with Military Honors under the direction of Edwards Funeral Home.

He is survived by his wife, Hazel; two daughters, Betty Stone and husband Rick of Barling and Denise Smith and husband John of Fort Smith; six grandchildren, Christina Schoeppey and husband Ronnie, Ricky Stone, Jordan Smith and wife Rebecca, Caitlin Smith, Randall Tripp and Miranda Tripp and four great grandchildren, Isaiah Schoeppey, Christian Schoeppey, Joshua Schoeppey and Jack Smith.

Pallbearers will be Ronald Schoeppey, Isaiah Schoeppey, Christian Schoeppey, Joshua Schoeppey, Ricky Stone, Donald Walker, Rick Stone and John Smith.

The family will visit with friends Monday evening from 6:00 PM-7:30 PM at Edwards Funeral Home.
