

It is with great sadness that the family of Ruth Delores Conley Elkins Boyster announces her passing at the age of 92. Ruth went to be with the Lord Friday April 29, 2022 in her home surrounded by her loving family.
Ruth was born December 21st, 1929 in Kibler Arkansas to Charles Conley and Nettie Kersey Conley, she had three sisters Bonnie, Reba and Chloe.
Ruth will be lovingly remembered by her four children, Donna Elkins Johnston, Carl Elkins (wife Nina Elkins), Sue Elkins Wooden (husband Billy Wooden) and Karen Elkins. Ruth will also be fondly remembered by her twelve grandchildren and many great grandchildren and great great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents and three sisters; her first husband, Sunny Elkins and her second husband, Amos Boyster and her grandson, Daryl Elkins.
To know Ruth was to love her, her laugh and smile were contagious. She was patient, kind, generous and loved big, her family was her pride and joy. Ruth had many friends and church family that she loved dearly. She had many fond memories of quilting and crafting with them. Ruth was a Godly woman, she lived life serving others and took every opportunity to share her love of God. Ruth was a prayer warrior, spending countless hours praying for those in need. Her friends and family will take comfort in knowing she is watching over us and cheering us on.
Pallbearers will be Kevin Ross, Terry Elkins, Gary Elkins, Zachary Osborne, Trevor McCurry and Conner Mangham, was well as all of Ruth’s great grandsons and great great grandsons.
A funeral service in memory of Ruth will be held on Tuesday, May 3rd at 11:00 am, at the Lighthouse Family Worship Center in Huntington AR with Pastor Tom Rhamy officiating. Graveside committal service will follow at 2:00 pm at Gill Cemetery in Van Buren. In her honor we are requesting Pink be worn to the service, but not required. The viewing will be held at Edwards Funeral Home in Fort Smith, Monday May 2nd from 5-7 pm.
