Sandra Chaffin

Sandra Jean Chaffin (Donberger) was born in Fort Smith on June 13, 1947 to Raymond and Mary Donberger. Sandra moved to Carrollton, TX with her husband Billy, there Sandra worked for Rugby Pharmaceuticals for over 20 years. After retiring, she and Billy moved to Carthage, TX where they enjoyed the retired country life. Sandra and Billy would spend 47 years together before his passing in 2013. The biggest joy of Sandra’s life were her grandkids and great-grand kids. Sandra loved spending time with them and loved them all very much.

Sandra is preceded in death by her parents, Raymond Donberger and Mary Rye; her husband, Billy Brown; and her sister, Rita Spahn.

She is survived by her children, Rodney (Diana) Chaffin of Wichita, KS and Steve (June) Brown, of Melissa, TX. Her sisters, Lucy Biggs and Mary Dean of Barling; Her grandchildren, Heather Bevan and Courtney Chaffin of Wichita, KS, Brittnee Brown of Melissa, TX and Brandon (Angela) Brown of Sulphur Springs, TX; Her great-grandchildren, Braeden Winters, Brielle Shepard, Brynleigh Bevan, Baylen Bevan, Tucker Shearhod, Hunter and Hayden Magee, and Mitchell Brown; and numerous nieces and nephews.

Visitation will be 2:00 PM Friday, September 3, 2021, at Edwards Funeral Home Chapel with the service to follow at 3:00 PM. Burial will be at St. Mary’s Cemetery under the direction of Edwards Funeral Home.

Pallbearers will be: Rodney Chaffin, Steve Brown, Braeden Winters, Hunter Magee, Brandon Brown, and Stan Biggs.

Honorary Pallbearers will be: Tucker Shearhod, Baylen Bevan, Hayden Magee, and Mitchell Brown.
