

Shirley June Beesley, 80, of Spiro, OK died Saturday, June 24, 2017 in Fort Smith, Arkansas. She was born June 4, 1937 in Cozahome, Arkansas to Dirley Preston “Bob” Wynn and Mary Florence McLone Wynn. Shirley was one of fourteen children and attended her first seven years of school in Bruno, Arkansas, and grades eight through twelve at Liberty Mounds, Oklahoma where she graduated. After schooling, she moved to St. Louis, where she worked in the offices of Fruinn and Collins. She also worked at Liberty Glass in Sapulpa. In 1959, she married Fred Henry Beesley, who soon became involved in the ministry. Besides being involved in numerous church activities over the years, Shirley enjoyed quilting, stitch work, puzzles and garage sales. She loved her family dearly and prayed for them daily.
She is survived by her husband, Bishop Fred Beesley of Spiro; two sons, Michael and wife Pam Beesley of Tulsa, OK and Matt Beesley of Spiro; two daughters, Marsha and husband John Walblay of Sand Springs, OK, and LaVola and husband Clint Case of Winchester, OK; one brother, Dirley Wynn of Harrison, AR; one sister, Doris and husband Charles Craig of Sand Springs, OK; sixteen grandchildren and seven great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents; brothers, Oral Truman Wynn, Justin Orell Wynn, Lowell Eugene Wynn, Thomas John “T.J.” Wynn, Wilford Dale Wynn, Clois Naaman Wynn and Richard Lee Wynn; sisters, Oris Marceleen Henkey, Freda Nadine Downs, Clair Allison Oshea, and Nita Pauline Wynn; and one son, Mitchell DeWayne Beesley.
Funeral service will be Wednesday, June 28, 2017 at 10:00 AM in the Edwards Funeral Home Chapel officiated by her brother in law, Reverend Charles Craig, with burial to follow at 2:00 PM in Duck Creek Cemetery in Liberty Mounds, OK.
Pallbearers will be Chad Beesley, Clint Beesley, Mitchell Case, John Henry Walblay, Jacob Walblay, Ezra Walblay, Elijah Walblay and Scott Beesley.
The family will greet friends at Edwards Funeral Home on Tuesday evening from 5-7 PM.
