Sister Mary Madonna Hall

Sister Mary Madonna Hall, of McAuley Convent, died Friday, October 1, 2010. Sister was born December 23, 1907 and baptized Ella Rose. Her parents were John and Bridget Hall. Sister entered the Sisters of Mercy Community, October 21, 1924 and made her first vows August 20, 1927. She received her Bachelor of Arts Degree from Our Lady of the Lake College, followed by her Masters Degree, from Incarnate Word College, San Antonio, Texas, in 1963. She taught in Texas, Missouri and Arkansas schools, from 1925 to 1990. In 1992 she retired to McAuley Convent and Retirement Residence, Barling, AR. Sister is survived by several nieces and nephew, all living in Canada including a niece Anne Laing of Ontario, Canada. The Rosary will be at McAuley Convent Chapel at 9:3oam on Thursday, October 7, 2010. The Funeral Mass will be in the McAuley Convent Chapel at 10:30am Thursday, October 7, 2010. Sister will be buried in Calvary Cemetery in Fort Smith, AR under the direction of Fentress Mortuary.
