Stephen J. Lux, Sr., 93, of Fort Smith, AR died Friday, December 3, 2010 in Fort Smith. He was born on December 26, 1916 in Fort Smith. He was retired from the Miami Herald Newspaper, a member of Christ the King Catholic Church and a U.S. Navy veteran of World War II. He was the widower of Lillian Lux.
Rosary will be said 7:00 P.M. Wednesday at Fentress Mortuary Chapel with a visitation to follow the Rosary; a Graveside Service will be held 2:00 P.M. Thursday at Holy Cross Cemetery. Arrangements are under the direction of Fentress Mortuary of Fort Smith.
He is survived by two sons, Stephen J. Lux, Jr. of Fort Smith and David Lux of Springfield, Virginia; a sister, Pauline Wiesenfels of Fort Smith; three brothers, George Lux of Little Rock, Paul Lux and Everett Lux, both of Fort Smith. He is also survived by four grandchildren and nine great grandchildren.
