Steven John Goodrich, 77 of Fort Smith, passed away on Sunday, May 19, 2024. He was born on August 18, 1946 to the late John and Betty Mahr Goodrich. Steve was a graduate of Northside High School and served in the US Army 93rd Engineering Company during Vietnam. He formed Goodrich Woodworking in Fort Smith and was a master carpenter, electrician, and fabricator. He took part in revitalizing historic downtown Fort Smith through projects like the carousel construction at The Park at West End among many others.
He is survived by his daughter, Michelle Glidewell (Jamie) of Fort Smith; two sisters, Sherry Watts of Fort Smith and Sandra (Steve) Roberts of Knoxville, TN; a brother, Johnny Goodrich (Kim) of Chuluota, FL; two grandchildren, Courtney Nixon (Neil) and Katy Carriger (Garrett) both of Fort Smith, three great grandchildren, nieces, and nephews.
There will be a visitation with family and friends on Tuesday, May 28th from 5:00-7:00 PM at the funeral home. Arrangements and cremation is under the direction of Edwards Funeral Home of Fort Smith.
