

Susan Hatfield Kear, 65, of Fort Smith, died May 12, 2016 in Fort Smith. She was born April 2, 1951 in Fort Smith to Charles and Martha Lane Hatfield. She retired as a Registered Nurse, of 32 years, from Sparks Hospital, was a lifetime member of St. Paul United Methodist Church and was a member of the Clifhangers Sunday School Class. She lived her life with a servant’s heart, always there to offer a helping hand. Her pride and joy in life was her children and grandchildren.
She is survived two daughters, Amy Carter and husband Jason of Fort Smith and Cara Smith and fiancé Marcus Massey of Moffett, Oklahoma; two sons, Jeff Hickey and wife Megan of Fort Smith and Jeff Kear and wife Stephanie of Springdale, Arkansas; two brothers, Jimmy Hatfield and wife Janet of Chicago, Illinois and Gerald Hatfield and wife Nancy of Tulsa, Oklahoma; eight grandchildren, Caleigh Maynard and husband Brandon, Tiffany, Taylor, and Tanner Kear, Kasyn McKuen, Ilyanah, Isaiah and Atianna Smith, as well as numerous nieces, nephews and cousins. She was preceded in death by her husband, Ron Kear; her parents, Charles and Martha Hatfield and her sister, Charlene Hatfield Gibson.
Funeral service will be Tuesday, May 17, 2016 at 11:00 AM at St. Paul United Methodist Church with burial to follow in the U.S. National Cemetery. The family will greet friends from 5:00 to 7:00pm Monday, May 16, 2016 at Edwards Funeral Home. Services are under the direction of Edwards Funeral Home.
Pallbearers will be Jason Carter, Ronnie Barter, Michael Barter and Marcus Massey.
