Thelma Marie Hunt

Thelma Marie Hunt, 85 of Fort Smith passed away Monday, December 22, 2014. She was born September 13, 1929 in Stilwell, OK to the late Jess and Dorothy Epperson. She was a member of North 50th Street Church of Christ, the Jolly Travelers at Grand Avenue Baptist, a former president of the Boys Club Ladies Auxiliary and a former Miss Fort Chaffee. She was a retired bookkeeper from the Crawford and Sebastian Community Development Council.

Thelma was more than willing to volunteer wherever she was needed. She was preceded in death by two sisters, two brothers, and two nieces.

Funeral Services will be 2:00 PM Friday, December 26, 2014 at Fentress Mortuary Chapel, officiated by Mr. Scott Carty and Mr. Bruce Langham, with burial to follow at Gill Cemetery in Van Buren.

Thelma is survived by her two sons; Gary Hunt and his wife Lana and Kevin and his wife Glenda all of Fort Smith, and four grandchildren; Taber, April, Reba, and Jensen Hunt.

Pallbearers will be April, Taber, Jensen, and Reba Hunt, Markus Gifford, and Chance Teale. Honorary pallbearer will be Russell Epperson.

Visitation will be 4:00 PM – 6:00 PM Wednesday, December 24, 2014 at Fentress Mortuary.
