Thurrell Eugene "Nick" Nichols

Thurrell Eugene “Nick” Nichols, 68 of Ft. Smith, passed away on Memorial Day Monday, May 25, 2015. He was born April 20, 1947 in Fort Smith to Thurell and Dorothy Nichols. He was a Christian, a U.S. Air Force Veteran of the Vietnam War, a member of the DAV, the American Legion, and VFW Post 8845.

There was a Private Committal service with Military Honors at the Fort Smith National Cemetery. Cremation was under the direction of Fentress Mortuary.

He is survived by his wife Jackie of the home, his three daughters Scottie Girouard and Natalie Nichols both of North Prairie, WI, Paige Nichols of Surprise, AZ, his son Clark Nichols of Ft. Smith, his mother Dorothy Nichols of Ft. Smith, his brother Ricky Nichols of Ada, OK, his five grandchildren; Casey and Sammy Girouard, Maia Wilkerson, Anya Nichols, and Abbie Jordan Wilkerson, as well as several nieces, nephews, cousins, aunts, and uncles.
