Timothy Horton

He attended Ballman Elementary, Ramsey Junior High, and graduated from Northside High School. In 1969 he married his wife Shari Lessley and later he joined the US Coast Guard from 1970-1974. Tim owned and operated JJ’s RV Parts and Service in Fort Smith for many years and later worked for O’Reilly Auto Parts.

Tim is survived by his wife Shari of 56 years; daughter JJ Chronister; his precious granddaughter Ellie Jane Chronister and grand dog Cookie; mother-in-law Mary Jane Lessley; brother-in-law Sam Hiller; nephews Sam Austin and his children Molly and Banks Austin; nephew Scott Austin and wife Whitney and their children Jace and Landon; aunt Marilyn Click; special niece Terri Campbell; beloved aunt and uncle Dennis and Linda Sue Taylor, and many beloved friends.

Tim is preceded in death by parents Bob and Edwina Horton; father-in-law Gene Lessley, and sister-in-law Vicci Hiller.

Family and friends will gather for a visitation on Thursday, June 5, 2025 from 5:00-7:00pm at Edwards Funeral Home, 201 N 12th St, Fort Smith, AR 72901. Graveside services will be held on Friday, June 6, 2025 at 1:00pm at Fort Smith National Cemetery, 522 Garrison Ave, Fort Smith, AR 72901.
