Tom you will always be in my heart and in my thoughts and you will never be forgotten.  You were there for me when it was needed the most, every family should have a man like you,, we may have not known  each other for a long period of life but i do know we new each other well enough to know you were my friend you will always be on my mind and i will never for get you

I have known Tom for 10 years through our work at the airport in Fort Smith.  He was always a happy, hardworking colleague !  I was lucky enough to get to know Tom  better in the last few years, and I am proud to say he was my friend.  Tom was a great guy, and an excellent example of how to live life to the fullest!  He will be missed!  Condolences

I had the pleasure of knowing and also working with Tom.  He was uplifting, and almost always had a smile for me.  I am sorry for the loss, but know he is in a much better place, his heavenly home. I worked with Tom the last couple of years and I would always enjoy his company. He would do any task you ever threw at him without a complaint. He was a man that just loved to work. During our free time, when Tom was not working, he had a love of crossword puzzles, and he would always solve every page. The man was very sharp.  He also loved to share stories and show us pictures of his hiking adventures, and he would give us tips of some of the best places to visit while hiking here in Arkansas. These are memories that I will forever cherish. To J.R. and his family, I send my condolences.

 I am deeply saddened by the news of Tommy's passing.  We were bandmates at Darby and Northside in our younger days and became good friends.  I think we even roomed together a time or two when the bands would travel to clinics or festivals.  We didn't really hang out together during our high school years but I do remember enjoying several days on Lake Tenkiller skiing and boating with he and his family.  We even spent Senior Day together on that lake with another buddy of ours, Kit Core.   After high school, we went our separate ways and it wasn't until a Shaver band reunion some 10 or 12 years ago did we see each other again after all those years.  I can still see  his infectuous smile as I spotted him across a rather crowded room.  After a hearty handshake, a hug, and an even bigger smile we enjoyed a great conversation.....one that seemed to take up where we had left off the last time we visited some 40 years or so ago.  Tommy was such a quiet and gentle man.  One that I truly wish I had had the chance to see more often after our high school years.  My heart goes out to you, his family.  May the Lord hold you all in the palm of his hand at this time.  Rest well, my friend.  You will always hold a very special place in my heart.

I am so sorry to learn of Tom's passing. Many years have passed since we were friends, but I still have fond memories of Brian and my son, Doug, during their early childhood.
