Velma Lucille Smith

Velma Lucille Smith, 88 passed away Monday, March 06, 2017. She was born in Mountainburg, AR on December 2, 1928. She attended Bethlehem Freewill Baptist Church in Van Buren and formerly worked for Professional Security, Inc. She was preceded in death by her parents William Clyde and Lula Jane Smith, her brother William Clyde Smith, Jr., two sisters; Lola Mae Siu of California, Phyllis K. Jones of Ft. Smith and her daughter; Rebecca Joyce Langley.

Funeral services will 10:00 AM Thursday, March 9, 2017 at Fentress Mortuary Chapel with burial to follow at Forest Park Cemetery. Reverend Randall Ray will be officiating the services.

She is survived by one sister; Barbara Sue Beaver of Bonanza, AR, 9) nieces; Teresa L. Littlejohn, Waynetta Sue Pate, Pamela K. Wofford, Gwethlyn Sue Smith, Zena Plaster, Zona Kirk, Wanda Steltz, Laura Sue Flinn, Patsy Jan Carlisle, and 5) nephews; Eugene Jones, John Siu, Jr., James Siu, Michael W. Smith, and Joseph E. Smith.

Pallbearers will be Tom Drechel, Monte Littlejohn, Austin Pate, Louis Wofford, Robert Wofford, and Wendell Welbern.

In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made the American Heart Association Little Rock – Central Arkansas 909 W. 2nd Street Little Rock, AR 72201.

Visitation will be 5:00 PM – 7:00 PM Wednesday, March 8, 2017 at the funeral home.
