

Vernon K. Kerr, Jr., 72 of Muldrow, passed away on Friday, May 21, 2021. He was born on January 4, 1949 to Vernon K. Sr. and Alberta Kerr. Vernon was employed by the Muldrow Public School System, he was a member of Oak Cliff Baptist Church in Fort Smith and Bruton Masonic Lodge in Muldrow.
Funeral service will be 10:00 A.M. Wednesday at Oak Cliff Baptist Church with burial to follow at Muldrow Memory Gardens Cemetery. Arrangements are under the direction of Edwards Funeral Home.
Vernon had a true servant’s heart and was always helping a friend or neighbor. He enjoyed gardening, small engine repair, woodworking and bringing antiques back to life. He loved his puppies, his family, and the love of his life, Katie.
He is survived by his wife Katie, of the home; his son, Joey Kerr and his wife Alana of Muldrow; two brothers, Kenny Kerr and his wife Beth of Arkoma and Charles Kerr of Fort Smith; three grandchildren, Haley Patterson and her husband Dustin of Ozark, Caleb Kerr and Kinsey Kerr, both of Muldrow, several nieces and nephews and a host of friends.
Pallbearers will be Montea Wight, Roger Sharp, Junior Rutledge, Terry Ogdon, Dustin Patterson, and Jonathan Kerr.
Family will greet friends from 5:00 P.M. to 7:00 P.M. Tuesday at the funeral home.
