William “Bill” August Neumeier, Jr. 54 of Fort Smith passed away November 19, 2018. He was born December 7, 1963 in Fort Smith to William “Bill” and Jo Ann “Jody” Neumeier. He was a member of St. Boniface Catholic Church. After graduating from Subiaco Academy in 1982, he attended the College of the Ozarks. He was the owner and operator of Neumeier’s Rib Room and Papa’s Pub and Pizzeria. He was a passionate supporter and organizer for the Riverfront Blue’s Festival and the Peacemaker’s Festival. He was a big supporter of revitalization of downtown Fort Smith. He was preceded in death by his paternal grandparents Harry and Hilda Neumeier, his maternal grandmother Louise Angeletti and his sister Rose Therese Neumeier.
Bill’s Rosary will be said at 10:00 AM Friday, November 23, 2018 at St. Boniface Catholic Church, immediately followed by the Funeral Mass. Interment will follow at Holy Cross Cemetery. Arrangements are under the direction of Fentress Mortuary.
Bill is survived by his parents William “Bill” and Jo Ann “Jody” Neumeier of Ft. Smith, his sister Lisa Neumeier Bobel Hearn and her husband Tim of Ft. Smith, his brothers, Joseph Neumeier and his wife Linda of Ft. Smith and Chris Cochran and his wife Amy of Haslett, TX. Bill is also survived by his niece Callie Neumeier Ingram and three nephews; Benjamin Neumeier, Andrew Bobel and Hunter Bobel.
Pallbearers will be Randy Reith, Tim Chapman, Brett Avlos, Leroy Stephens, Mike Abshere, and Todd Clemings. Honorary pallbearers will be all of his friends from Papa’s Pub and the Rib Room.
