

Wilson B. Wallis, 86, of Fort Smith, died December 28, 2010 in Fort Smith. He was retired Lieutenant and Assistant Troop Commander for Troop H of the Arkansas State Police in Fort Smith. He was a Veteran of the U.S. Navy serving in both World War II and the Korean Conflict, a member of the VFW, American Legion, Fraternal Order of the Eagles, the Elks, and the UCT.
He is survived by his wife Sharon of the home; three step daughters, Laurie Patillo of Greenwood, Alycea Jackson of Keller, TX and Gena Orr of Fort Gibson, OK; three step sons, Jimmy, Joe, and Bill Cox of Fort Smith; fourteen step grandchildren and nine step great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by two sons, Bryce Wilson Wallis and Tommy Wallis.
Funeral Service will be Friday, December 31, 2010 at 10:00 AM in the Edwards Funeral Home Chapel with burial to follow in the Hart Cemetery in Bentonville, AR all under the direction of Edwards Funeral Home.
Pallbearers will be members of Troop H of the Arkansas State Police.
Honorary Pallbearers will be members of the Arkansas State Police.
The family will greet friends at Edwards Funeral Home on Thursday evening from 5-7 PM.
