Fred was born in Dormont, Pennsylvania on February 24, 1935. He worked at Joy Manufacturing as a Distribution Manager for the majority of his career while living in Pittsburgh. In 1996 he moved to San Rafael, CA where he worked in hospital security until he retired.
Fred enjoyed watching sports, especially the Pittsburgh Steelers. He loved golfing as well; Fred even had an opportunity to play a round with Andy Russel of the Steelers and Jack Nicklaus.
Fred is survived by his children, Paul Gianni and wife Pam, John Gianni and wife Pamela, Lori Wenino and husband Phil, Sharon Charron and husband Mark, one brother Gerard C. Gianni and wife Donna, six grandchildren, Tony Gianni, Jenna Wiles, John Miles Gianni, Jacob Wenino, Maxwell Charron, Gianna Charron, two great grandchildren, Maise and Arlo, and other family and friends. We will miss his caring heart and his sarcastic humor; Fred had a way of getting people laughing whether he knew them or not!
Fred is preceded in death by his former wife, Janice Ann (Normand) Gianni.
A celebration of life will be held in the near future. Location to be determined.
