Angela “Angie” Kay Hardiek, 56, of Avilla, Indiana, passed away at home on Sunday, March 16, 2025. Born on January 5, 1969, in Rockford, Illinois, to parents Carl Norkooli and Becky Fayor, Angela was a beloved wife, mother, daughter, sister, and friend to so many. Angie was a graduate of Northrop High School. She would marry the love of her life, Mark Hardiek, on August 28, 1993. The two shared an everlasting bond that would blossom into a cherished family with their three children, Jay, Megan, and Haley.
Angie found great joy in the simple things in life. Whether it was losing herself in a good book, playing candy crush on her phone, tending to her beautiful garden, fishing, or sitting in the warmth of the sun, taking in nature’s beauty. She had a particular love for Stephen King and Amish romance novels. Above all, Angie treasured her time with her family. Game nights were a regular event filled with laughter and playful competition. The memories made are memories that will be held close to her family’s heart forever. Angie had an unwavering love for everyone – from those she knew and those she didn’t because everyone deserved to be loved.
Angie is survived by her husband, Mark Hardiek of Avilla, Indiana; children, Jay Hardiek of Fort Wayne, Indiana, Megan Hardiek of Angola, Indiana, Haley Hardiek of Fort Wayne, Indiana; parents Becky Fayor of Fort Wayne, Indiana, Carl Norkooli of Phoenix, Arizona; brother, Mike Norkooli of Fort Wayne, Indiana; aunt, Tonya Norden of Avilla, Indiana; and uncle Larry Norden of Avilla, Indiana.
