Angelique Dawniel Gray

Angelique Dawniel Gray, 43 passed away on April 19,2019. She was born in Danville, I’ll on October 21, 1975. She loved to sing and participated in her church choir at Carter Metropolitan CME Church from 1980 to 1994. Angelique cheered for the Danville Lincoln Raiders from 1983 to 1990. She enjoyed running a daycare and caring for children since 2010. She had a big heart and shared endless amounts of love with people. She was a dedicated worker with excellent customer service. Everywhere she worked she was loved and appreciated. Angelique had a servants heart, opening her home to single mothers and children for many years. She was survived by her children; Ri'colia Gray (CJ Kennedy), Deojanique Gray, Deon'dae Gray, and Ariana Gray. Granddaughter, Amorianna parents, Richard and La Tayna Wheeler; siblings, Melvin Dewaine Gray Jr., Richard Daryle Wheeler Jr., Peggy Luciano, Ana Kirstin Cunningham. Priscilla(Kandi) She also leaves behind neices; Brooklynn, Tatianna, Yaisa, Sonja. Nephews; Eric, Melvin, O'shea, and Michael.Her Godmother; Doris Steele Matchem and honorary Godchildren and grandkids; ShaquilleB. (Aralynn F), Amber (Juju), Lorraine ( Zaiden, Paris, Tori, and Laniyah), Merriam D. (Marion), Aiello, Davion, Royce, Tae, Brandon and Amanda Payne ( Audrey, Kayden, and Noah) She was preceded in death by her biological father, Melvin Gray Sr., her grandparents; Eloise Velaquez and Henry Moore, and Shirley and J.D. Gray.
