Ann L. Dickson. Devoted Wife, beloved Mother and Nana. Ann Dickson, 76, passed away peacefully on March 21st 2018. She was born on April 25th, 1941 in Fort Wayne, Indiana. She and her husband Thomas moved to Fort Wayne, Indiana in 1976, later settling in Angola, Indiana. Ann graduated from Ohio University and earned her bachelors degree in education. She was a teacher for several years. In 2017, Ann and Thomas celebrated their 53rd wedding anniversary. Ann was well known for getting things done and keeping us all on task. Her lists of things to do were legendary. She enjoyed cross-stitching, crafts and directing family activities. Ann was an exquisite cook and she kept track of everyone’s favorites always making everyone feel special. Her frequent travels to the Southwest brought her much joy. She had a deep admiration for Native American culture, especially tribes of the Southwest. Known for her feistiness, Ann fought a courageous battle against cancer over the last several years.
Ann was preceded in death by her parents, Owen and Ethel Morris, and Brother Jack Morris. She is survived by her Husband Thomas Dickson, Son and Daughter-in-Law James and Mindy Dickson, Granddaughter Maggie Dickson, Grandson J.D. Dickson of Angola, Indiana; Daughter and Son-in-Law Lucy and Thomas Cox of Las Vegas, Nevada.
The family would like to offer thanks to her team of physicians, nurses and technicians at Fort Wayne Medical Oncology and Hematology for their dedicated efforts over the last 17 years.
A Celebration of Ann's Life will be 11 am, Wednesday, April 25, 2018 at Presbyterian Chapel of the Lakes, 2955 West Orland Road in Angola, Indiana.
Memorial Calling will be Tuesday, April 24, 2018 at D.O. McComb and Sons Pine Valley Park Funeral Home, 1320 E. Dupont Rd, from 5 pm to 8 pm.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Ann’s name to Presbyterian Chapel of the Lakes, 2955 West Orland Road, Angola, Indiana 46703. Ann will be dearly missed by her friends and family.
