ANNA LOU GRAY STRONG, 88, passed away on Thursday, Feb. 27, 2014, at Kingston Care. Born April 10, 1925, in Grant County, she was a daughter of the late Corda P. and Ersie Alice Maddox. She worked for Fort Wayne Community Schools in Food Services for 16 years and retired in 1990 after 15 years as Director of Food Services for Southwest Allen County Schools. She is survived by a daughter, Pamela McCord of Fort Wayne; son, Rex Gray of Palmer, Alaska; two stepsons, Richard Strong of Fort Wayne and Kenneth Strong of Bushnell, Fla.; two grandchildren, Anna Marie Gray and Benjamin (Ellie) Lee Gray; and two step-grandchildren, Joe and Paige Strong. She was also preceded in death by her first husband, Gaynel Max Gray, in 1993; second husband, Franklin E. Strong, in 2011; son, Terry Gray; brothers, Leon Maddox and George Maddox; and a sister, Esther Gaskill. Funeral service is 11 a.m. Monday, March 3, 2014, at Elzey-Patterson-Rodak Home For Funerals, 6810 Old Trail Road, Fort Wayne, IN 46809. Visitation is from 2 to 6 p.m. Sunday, March 2, 2014, at the funeral home. Burial in Grant Memorial Park, Marion, Ind. Memorials may be made to Cancer Services of Northeast Indiana. .
