Annabell R. "Ann" Ertel, 89, of Fort Wayne, passed away on June 30, 2013, at Renaissance Village, Fort Wayne. Born on April 21, 1924, in Fort Wayne, she was a daughter of the late Raymond and Hilda Kreigh. She attended Zanesville United Methodist Church, and retired in 1986 from Fort Wayne Community Schools, after 22 years of service as a supervisor in the Nutrition Services Department.
She is survived by her daughters, Cindy (Joe) Kelsey, of Columbia City and Renee (Tim) Mahnensmith, of Roanoke; sisters, Marge Long, Velma Ausderan and Virginia Stuck, all of Fort Wayne; as well as grandchildren, Jeff Ruch, Dawn Murray and Trisha Stagg; and five great-grandchildren. She was also preceded in death by her husband William R. Ertel, in 1984.
Funeral Service will be held at 11 AM Wednesday July 3, 2013 at Klaehn, Fahl & Melton Funeral Homes, Winchester Road Chapel, 6424 Winchester Road, Fort Wayne, with calling one hour prior. Calling will also be held from 5 to 8 PM Tuesday July 2, 2013, at the funeral home. Burial will be in Greenlawn Memorial Park, Fort Wayne. Memorial donations may be given to the American Heart Association.
