Annie Frances Bridges, 91, passed away January 29, 2023, at Park Place Senior Living in Fort Wayne, IN. She was born September 15, 1931 in Londonderry, Northern Ireland, the daughter of Robert David and Fannie Orr.
Annie ( Fay ) was married to Jack Bridges in 1949 while he was in the Navy and stationed in Ireland. After the Korean War they moved to Dayton, Ohio and then later on to Fort Wayne. Fay was Jack’s partner in the family appliance business from the late 60’s to the early 80’s. After that in the 80’s she worked as a deputy assessor for Cedar Creek Township Assessors Office. Fay had many art related hobbies. Painting, wood carving, ink stamp making, sculpturing. She had an eye for detail and composure in her projects. As well as art Fay was an avid gardener. In the 90’s through 2013 Fay and Jack were campers. She loved to sit around a campfire and tell tales. She could captivate audiences both young and old. Fay was a bright spot in anyone’s day.
Fay is survived by her son, Dennis (Roberta) Bridges of Kendallville, IN; grandchildren, Michael Bridges, Kymberle Bridges, Shane Rhodes, Eric Rhodes, great grandchildren, Izabel and Charlotte Rhodes.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Jack Vernon Bridges, daughter, Elizabeth Bridges, siblings, Oswald Orr, Robert Orr, and Joy Robinson.
