

Ann Ruth Jackson, also known as "Annie,"was born January 8, 1947, to the late Johnnie Marie Jackson and Simon Jackson Sr. She passed away on Wednesday, April 30, 2025, at Parkview Regional Medical Center, at the age of 78.
Annie grew up attending Jerusalem Baptist Church and was very dedicated to her faith in God and portrayed that in her everyday life. She also attended Tree of Life Missionary Baptist Church for many years.
Annie attended Central High School in 1961, where she was an amazing cheerleader. After high school, Annie began a career at the Allen County Juvenile Center, while operating her own daycare, "Precious One" and fostering many children throughout the years. Annie ended her career journey at the VA Hospital, where she retired as head chef.
Annie was a member of the Elks and had the opportunity to travel to many places, including Bermuda.
Annie had a heart of gold and showed it through her passion to help anyone, especially children, and would even feed an enemy, if they were hungry.
Surviving and cherishing her memory are daughters, Shenell D. Jackson, Shawn L. Amos, Karizma K. Jackson; son, Malik R. Jackson; grandchildren, Shemon T. Ivory, Shala M. Jackson and Troy D. Amos; seven great-grandchildren, sister, Michele L. Jackson-King; brothers, Ralph E. Jackson and Michael L. Jackson and a host of nieces and nephews.
She was also preceded in death by her sisters, Betty L. Jackson and Emma J. King and brothers, Simon Jackson Jr. and Eddie L. Jackson.
A visitation will be held on Wednesday, May 7, 2025, from 11:00 am to 12:00 pm at Kingdom Door Christian Worship Center, 1004 East Pontiac Street, Fort Wayne, IN 46803, followed by a Celebration of Life at 12:00 pm.
