Arlene Margaret Turnbow

Arlene Margaret "G'ma Rose" (Grindley) Turnbow, age 88, of Fort Wayne, Indiana closed her eyes on this earth and opened them in the arms of Jesus on Sunday evening, June 29, 2025, at Parkview Hospital - Randallia.

Arlene was a native of Fort Wayne, and a daughter of the late Leo and Vondell (Meyers) Grindley.

She was also preceded in death by a daughter, Baby Lisa R., her son, Michael R. and brother, Jim Grindley.

Arlene was a member of St. Jude Catholic Church. She loved spending time writing letters and birthday cards to all her family and friends. Listening to Elvis, coloring and dining out at Powers, Coney Island, Hall's and gambling in Las Vegas.

Her family was everything to her, as she will Forever live in our HEARTS!

She is survived by her children with Franklin D. Sr. (deceased), Julie Garcia, Tammy Keck, Marilyn Retelle, Lynne Eckert, Franklin Jr., Gina West, Lisa Root, Daniel and Nancy Simmons; a sister, Marie Mullins; a brother, Joseph (Darlene) Grindley; 19 grandchildren, 27 great-grandchildren and 1 great-great-grandchild.

Please wear purple in honor of Arlene's favorite color.

Services for Arlene will be 1:00PM Wednesday, July 9, 2025, at St. Jude Catholic Church, 2130 Pemberton Dr, Fort Wayne, (46805), with visitation one hour prior. Burial will follow in Lindenwood Cemetery.
