Arnold LeRoy Roddel, 81 passed away Sunday August 22, 2021 at his home in Fort Wayne IN. He was born June 17, 1940 in Tomah, WI., to the late Ira Herman and Beulah Elaine Roddel (Gilmore). He moved to Fort Wayne in 1947. LeRoy graduated from South Side High School in 1958 and earned an Associate’s degree from IPFW. He was a Marine Corps Veteran and served in Vietnam and was discharged in 1967. He worked at the United Way and the Indiana Auto Action for several years and as a head stockman at Sturgis Grocery. LeRoy was also a Cub Master.
He is survived by his loving wife of 59 years, Sharron J. Roddel of Fort Wayne, IN; sons Steven K. (Shannon) Roddel of Mishawaka, IN; James A. (Melanie) Roddel of Fort Gordon, GA; fourteen grandchildren and sixteen great grandchildren. LeRoy was preceded in death by a sister Patricia E. Salway and an infant grandson.
Funeral Service will be 1:30pm Monday August 30, 2021 at D.O. McComb and Sons Lakeside Park Funeral Home 1140 Lake Ave. Fort Wayne, IN with visitation two hours prior.
