Barbara Ann Hon, 96 passed away January 18, 2024, at her home in Fort Wayne, IN. She was born December 25, 1927, in Anderson, IN, the daughter of Rupert C. and Jennie L. Whelchel. She graduated from Anderson High School in 1945. Barbara worked at the Fort Wayne Credit Bureau for over 20 years and retired in 1986.
She is survived by her daughters, Sandra Hon, Rebecca (Robert) Gnau, both of Fort Wayne, IN, Karen Moon of FL.; grandchildren, Dorin Moon, Darrin Moon, Richard (Shannon) Gnau, Mark Braun, Mariah (Mike) James; great grandchildren, D.J., Moon, Carter and Cameron Gnau, Ava and Alivia James.
Barbara was preceded in death by her husband of 56 years, Richard Hon, 12/25/2008, sister, Juanita M. Benjamin, granddaughter Jenny Gnau and great grandson, Cameron Moon.
