Barbara Clara Ulman, 78, of Hoagland, Indiana passed away on Monday, April 1, 2024, while vacationing with family in New Smyrna Beach, Florida. Barb was born on September 6, 1945, daughter to the late Ralph and Dorothy (Huey) Kleber. She worked in the histology lab at Lutheran Hospital for over 50 years before retiring in 2016. Barb is survived by her three daughters, Laura (Jerry) Quinn of Monroeville, Barbie (Rob) Myer of Roanoke and Deb (Steve) Jones of Warsaw; nine grandchildren, Ben, Mitch, Emily, (Jacob), Rachel, Brandt, Tori, Blake, Mia and Drew; three great-grandchildren, Waylon, Rhett and Hallie; four sisters, Susie (Woody) Shelburne, Sarah (Jerry) Meier, Brenda (Tom) Bullerman and Sandy (Bill) Beard; and sister-in-law, Peg Brown. She was also preceded in death by her husband of 46 years, Don Ulman; sisters-in-law, Rheta, Alice and Ruth; and brother-in-law, Joe. A funeral service will be held at 11:30 am on Thursday, April 25, 2024 at Klaehn, Fahl & Melton Funeral home 6424 Winchester Road Fort Wayne, Indiana 46819 with visitation one hour prior. Visitation will also be held from 2:00 pm to 4:00 pm and 6:00 pm to 8:00 pm on Wednesday, April 24, 2024 at the funeral home. Burial to follow the service at Catholic Cemetery. Preferred memorials may be made to St. Joseph Hessen Cassel School.
