

BETTY J. BARON, of Fort Wayne, died on Tuesday, Jan. 12, 2016, at Visiting Nurse Hospice Home. Born Jan. 14, 1925, in Fort Wayne, she was a daughter of the late Clarence Lesh and Edna (Henline). She was a meat cutter at Rogers, Krogers and Maloley's grocery stores. She was a member of Salem United Church of Christ and a volunteer with the Red Cross for 11 years. Surviving are her two sons, Ted (Kristine McConahay) of Hudson, Ind. and Dan Baron of Utah; two sisters-in-law, Edie Lesh of Fort Wayne and Phyllis Lesh of Huntington, Ind.; brother, Robert Lesh of Versailles Ky.; and grandchildren, Sabrina and Justin Baron.She was also preceded in death by her husband, Charles Baron; three brothers and two sisters. Funeral service is 11 a.m. Tuesday at C.M. Sloan & Sons Funeral Home, 1327 N. Wells St., Fort Wayne, with visitation one hour prior. Pastor Michael Smith officiating. Visitation also from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Monday at the funeral home. Burial in Lindenwood Cemetery. Preferred memorials to the Allen County S.P.C.A., The Rescue Mission in Fort Wayne or St. Jude Children's Research Hospital .
