BETTY LOUISE THIEME, of Fort Wayne, passed away on Wednesday, Feb. 23, 2011. She was born on Dec. 18, 1937, in Fort Wayne. She was a graduate of Central High School, Fort Wayne and Indiana University, Bloomington. She served on the Parks & Recreation Board, Fox Island Project, Park Center Board, President of Junior League of Fort Wayne, Fort Wayne Philharmonic Board, Public Library Foundation Board, Duodecimo Literary Club, and other community activities. She was an accomplished pianist, a world traveler, and a beautiful person to all who knew her. She was a member of Trinity Episcopal Church. She is survived by her husband, Judge Philip R. Thieme; son, Christopher Q. Thieme; and grandchildren, Claudia A. Thieme and Hans C. Thieme.
