Bev Hensley

Beverly "Bev" J. Hensley, age 74, of Fort Wayne passed away on Thursday, May 1, 2025. She was born at Fort Carson in Colorado Springs, Colorado on March 19, 1951, to the late Harold and Shirley (née Cannon) Everett. Born into a military family, Bev would live in various states prior to settling in central Indiana, and ultimately, the greater Fort Wayne area, where she spent the majority of her life. Her fondest memories were spent with her horses and family on their ranch in LaOtto, Indiana. Bev married the late love of her life, Brian Hensley, and brought their families together.

Bev was a bougie cowgirl who enjoyed playing the slots, fishing, antiquing, shopping trips, gardening, reading about ancient civilizations, the Second World War and the Holocaust, but cherished time spent with family the most. Her faith was an integral part of her life, especially toward the end as she deepened her walk with the Lord; even though her body was broken, her spirit was strong. Bev and her family are grateful for the relationships forged during her time at Park Place Senior Living Community and Church.

Bev is survived by her loving and devoted children, Chris (Christy) Marks, Joseph (Carrie) Marks, and Stacey Weeks; grandchildren, Austin, Taun, Samantha, A.J., Brant, Adia, Wyatt, and Gavin; great-grandchildren, Brian, Carter, Copeland, and Kasen; and siblings, Jeffrey (Jennifer) King, and Michael (Michelle) Johnson. She was preceded in death by brothers, Gary Everett and Tommy Everett.

A Funeral Service is at noon, Thursday, May 8, 2025, at D.O. McComb & Sons Funeral Homes - Pine Valley, 1320 E. Dupont Rd, Fort Wayne, with calling one hour prior. Interment at Highland Park Cemetery, Fort Wayne.
