Beverly J. Baals

Beverly Joyce Baals, age 85, passed peacefully into the arms of her Savior on Monday, November 2 , 2025 in Fort Wayne, Indiana. She was born in Aurora, Illinois on November 24, 1939 to the late Earl and Martha (Behrens) Stallmann.

She graduated from East High School in Aurora in 1957. She married David Baals on July 8, 1961 at Saint Paul’s Lutheran Church in Aurora and soon moved to Fort Wayne, Indiana. There she was a homemaker, a teacher’s aide at Harrison Hill Elementary School and a Title 1 reading instructor at Emmaus Lutheran School. After these pursuits, she became the faculty secretary at Indiana Institute of technology for many years where she was once voted “teacher of the year” by the student body. She was very proud of that recognition.

She was a member of Emmaus Lutheran Church and was very active there for many years in the Ladies Aid organization.

She was an artist, an accomplished cake decorator and a gourmet cook. She also had a knack for making Christmas extra special each year.

Her husband of 58 years, David, preceded her in death in 2020. She was also preceded in death by her sister and best friend, Sharon Reed, and a brother, Joel.

Surviving are a brother Earl (Laurie) of Henderson, Nevada, son Grey (Patti) of Angola, Indiana, daughter Kim (Darren Kall) of Oakwood, Ohio and grandsons Drew, Logan (Jordan Yates), and Alex.

At her request, no services will be held.
