Brandon Charles Rice

Brandon Charles Rice, 37, passed away January 23, 2023 at Parkview Hospital in Fort Wayne, IN. He was born, March 19, 1985 in Fort Wayne and has been a lifetime resident. Brandon graduated from Carroll High School in 2004. He worked at ARC workshop since 2005. Brandon was an avid Indianapolis Colts and Indiana Pacers fan. Brandon enjoyed collecting stuffed koalas and made a habit of naming them after Colts players. He was very interested in flags also. Brandon always had a couple of flags with him and was known for decorating his wheelchair with them. Brandon was very creative and enjoyed various arts and crafts including water color painting, puzzles and making lanyards. He enjoyed making various flag holders for his collection of American flags. He is survived by his father, Richard M. (Maureen) Rice of Fort Wayne, IN; siblings, Michael D. Rice, Vincent M. Rice, both of Fort Wayne, IN; Allison E. (Matt) Smith of Bloomington, IN; step-sisters Colleen K. (Derek) Bolton of Atlanta, GA; and Sara Kennedy of Lakewood, OH. Brandon was preceded in death by his mother, Martha Elaine Rice. Memorial service will be 4:00 pm Sunday, February 5, 2023, at D.O. McComb and Sons Maplewood Park Funeral Home, 4017 Maplecrest Road, Fort Wayne, IN with visitation two hours prior.
