Carol Ann Logan, 84, passed away on Friday, July 6, 2018. The daughter of Mary Lucille Mancini of Connersville, and J. Norbert Cusick of Harrison, Ohio, Carol was part of a happy, extended family residing at 1204 Central, Connersville, an uptown, two-story, grand enough to accommodate Carol’s many aunts, uncles and cousins. Carol attended St. Gabriel Catholic School, Connersville High School, Barat College, and Loretto Heights College (now Regis University). Upon graduation from Loretto Heights in 1955, Carol, Norbert, and Carol’s Aunt Fanny enjoyed a three month grand automobile tour of Europe, and upon her return, Carol taught at Harrison Hill Elementary, Fort Wayne Community Schools, and met and married Fort Wayne attorney Thomas D. Logan. She immediately, naturally, had a host of Fort Wayne friends. Carol was a Head Start volunteer, and member of the Junior League, Fort Wayne Country Club, Garden Club, and a variety of other social gatherings. Carol was outgoing, made friends easily, and managed to get a whole lot out of life. She was adored by all who knew her, and she never forgot or missed a friend. Carol was a devoted wife, mother, and grandmother. A loving person, she most enjoyed being with her four children and ten grandchildren, taking trips throughout the world, and socializing with the many friends to whom she was much devoted. She will miss them all, and all of them shall miss Carol. Carol joyously reunites with father Norbert, and mother Lucille, who passed just days after her only child’s birth; Lucille’s beloved, indelible sister Frances (“Aunt Fanny” and “Grandma Mancini”) who helped raise Carol; and, cousins including Aloyse Moritz, Mary Martin, Madonna Welling, and Peter Mancini. Carol was also preceded in death by husband Thomas D. Logan, and is survived by children Timothy, Mary Elaine Steckbeck (Kurt), Jill Ann Thierwechter (Michael) and Paul Anthony; grandchildren William, Margaret, Erin, Thomas, and Maureen Logan; Carolyn, Leighanne and Allison Steckbeck; Kathryn Thierwechter; and, Cearra Guisbert Logan; and, great grandchildren Wyatt, Ayla, and James, and Emma.
