

It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of our beloved mom, Carole Mae Guntzburger Bauer, 93, who went to Glory on October 30, 2025. Carole was known on this earth for her faith, kindness, generosity, and unwavering spirit.
Born on December 11, 1931 in St. Paul, Minnesota, Carole grew up surrounded by family and friends who recognized her warmth and compassion. She married her childhood sweetheart, Richard Bauer, on August 1,1953.
Throughout her life, Carole affected countless lives through acts of love, friendship, and service, and she made the world a better place through her simple gestures of kindness. Her legacy is one of faith, integrity, empathy, and inspiration. We will always remember her laughter, wise counsel, and her love of family.
Carole is predeceased by her husband, Richard, and is survived by daughters Deborah K. Haefner, Sandra Dose (Tim), grandchildren Daniel Buggs, Peter Haefner (Sonnie), Rhianna Pensa, Elizabeth Ruefer (Jake), Heidi Haefner, Sandra Hoover (Gary), Sarah Prather (Killian), as well as nine great grandchildren, one great-great grandchild, and her nieces and nephews. Carole also left her influence on a wide circle of friends and colleagues. Her memory will live on in the hearts of all who loved her for generations to come.
A memorial service will be held on November 10, 2025, at Advantage Funeral & Cremation Services, 2403 E. Wallen Rd, Ft Wayne, Indiana, at 1:30 PM. All who knew her are welcome to attend and honor her remarkable life.
