 Obituario de Carolyn Sue Harrold
Carolyn Sue Harrold, 79, of Fort Wayne, IN, passed away on Sunday, May 2, 2021 at Life Care Center. Born December 27, 1941 in Fort Wayne, she was a daughter of the late Francis and Dorothy (Dearduff) Harrold. Carolyn grew up in Fort Wayne on Harrison Street and was a graduate of South Side High School, class of 1960. She furthered her education and attended Moody Bible College and later Huntington College where she studied business. A devout Christian, she grew up attending First Brethren Church. Later, she attended Calvary Temple where she worked with youth and participated in the elaborate holiday pageants. She also attended and taught Sunday school at Till Road Christian Church. Carolyn was very artistically inclined. She excelled in writing poems, playing the clarinet, had an eye for colors and painting and a boisterous and beautiful singing voice. An avid reader, she enjoyed collecting books, playing Bingo and indulging in sweets (especially fine chocolates). She retired from Lincoln National Life Insurance with more than 20 years of service. Surviving are her son, Joseph (Jan) Steinbacher of Fort Wayne; grandson, Joshua (Stacy) Emberlin of Fort Wayne; four great-grandchildren, Brantley, Hailey, Larkin, and Ryker; siblings, Gary Allen Harrold of Fort Wayne, James (Joyce) Harrold of Wichita, KS, Jack (Helen) Harrold of Muskegon, MI, John (Cindy) Harrold of Pawcatuck, CT, and Patricia Harrold of Fort Wayne; and several nieces, nephews, great nieces, and great nephews. She was also preceded in death by her infant brother, Richard Lee Harrold; and sister-in-law, Carol Harrold. Memorial Service is 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, May 22, 2021 at Advantage Mungovan, 2114 South Calhoun Street, Fort Wayne, with calling one hour prior. Graveside Service is 2:30 p.m. on Saturday, May 22, 2021 at Lindenwood Cemetery, Fort Wayne. Memorials to Mental Health America of Northeast Indiana or Donor’s Choice.
