

Carolyn R. (Ripley) Reilley, 87, of Fort Wayne, passed away Thursday, June 20, 2024 at Lutheran Hospital surrounded by her loving family. She was born in Huntington, Indiana on September 12, 1936 to the late Ward Ripley and Doris (Brumbaugh) Ripley Rutenberg. She was married for 56 years to Jack Reilley until his death October 21, 2009. She is survived by son, Kim (Beth) Reilley; daughter, Tonya (Andy) Stabler; daughter-in-law, Gayla Reilley; grandchildren, Jeremy (Kimberly) Reilley, Shanon (Mark) Poyser, Brandon (Jenny) Reilley, Brett (Season) Reilley, and Brock Reilley; nine great-grandchildren; three great-great-grandchildren; and many loving nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by son, Rodney Reilley; and brothers, Ronald Ripley and Robert (Cindy) Ripley. Carolyn was a beautiful person with a kind and loving heart. She enjoyed cooking, baking and gardening. Her grandchildren and great-grandchildren treasure their memories of her including fishing with them at the lake and teaching them how to can and preserve food out of the garden. She was a passionate fan of NASCAR and IU basketball and always enjoyed garage sales and bargain hunting. Carolyn worked as a bookkeeper at Allen County Motors and retired from managing Somerdale/Woodlake Mobile Home Park. She had a huge impact on her family and friends, and she will be greatly missed. Funeral Services will be Thursday, June 27, 2024 at 1:00 pm at Klaehn, Fahl & Melton Funeral Home, 6424 Winchester Road, Fort Wayne, IN 46819 with visitation one hour prior.
