Carroll Richard Gould

CARROLL RICHARD GOULD, 77, of Fort Wayne, departed this life on Wednesday, Jan. 15, 2014, at Heritage Park Rehab Center. Carroll was the son of the late Clark and Helen (Jenks) Gould. Carroll graduated from Kendallville High School and then graduated from Barber College, in Indianapolis. Carroll owned a barber shop in Kendallville. After moving to Fort Wayne, he later owned Brookmill Barber Shop on Covington Road, retiring after barbering over 40 years, in 2000. Carroll served in the U.S. Army for 2 1/2 yrs , Carroll married Barbara (Huffman) on May 4, 1958 at First Church of God, they resided in Fort Wayne most of there married life. Carroll was a member of the Trier Ridge Community Church. Carroll enjoyed selling collectibles at the South Side Farmers Market with his wife. Surviving his wife of 55 years, Barb Gould of Fort Wayne; daughter, Carla E. Gould of Fort Wayne; brother, Carson (Connie) Gould of Nashville, Tenn.; and sister, Maxine (Richard) Poynter of Kendallville. Service is 1:30 p.m. Monday, Jan. 20, 2014, at Klaehn, Fahl & Melton Funeral Home, with calling one hour prior. Pastor Ross Osborn and Pastor Lloyd Harlan officiating. Calling also from 4 to 7 p.m. Sunday, Jan. 19, 2014, at the funeral home. Burial in Lindenwood Cemetery. Memorials to Trier Ridge Community Church.
