Charles "Chuck" E. Halter

Charles "Chuck" E. Halter, 93, passed away Monday, February 26, 2018 in Fort Wayne. Born in Fort Wayne, Chuck worked as a brick mason for several local companies for over 40 years. He served his country as a member of the U.S Army Paratroopers during WWII. Chuck was a member of American Legion Post 82. Surviving are his wife, Eva Halter of Fort Wayne; 3 daughters, Kellie (Dave) Ashton, Fawn Halter, and Jill (Rodney) Corson of Fort Wayne; granddaughters, Codie (Jason Winikoer) Halter and Megan Brockhouse; great-granddaughters, Makayla and Adalynn; brother, Robert (Diane) Halter of Fort Wayne; and brother-in-law, Jack Humbrecht of Fort Wayne. Chuck was preceded in death by sister, Lu Humbrecht, and brother, Frank Halter. Service is 10:30 am, Saturday, March 3, 2018 at D.O. McComb & Sons Pine Valley Park Funeral Home,1320 East Dupont Road with calling one hour prior. Calling also Friday, March 2, 2018, 2:00 pm to 4:00 pm and 6:00 pm to 8:00 pm at the funeral home.
