Charles Edward Sanders Jr. was born November 17, 1974, in Fort Wayne, Indiana. He was the son of Charles E. Sanders Sr. and Mary Lambert. Charles departed this life on February 20, 2026, at Lutheran Hospital of Fort Wayne at the age of 51.
Charles was a 1993 graduate of North Side High School and later attended Wilberforce University.
He was currently employed by Amazon. Charles enjoyed listening to music, attending car shows, car shopping and grilling.
He was preceded in death by a brother, Timothy Sanders.
He leaves behind a wife, VerTonya Sanders; son, DaeQuan Sanders; daughter, Nyla Sanders; parents, Charles and Doris Sanders Sr. and Mary and Tommy Lambert; a brother, Preston Sanders; along with a host of aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
A Celebration of Life for Charles will be held at D.O. McComb & Sons Funeral Homes - Foster Park, 6301 Fairfield Avenue, Fort Wayne, IN 46807, at 12:00 pm on Friday, March 6, 2026.
