Dr. Cherian Mathew (78) passed away peacefully on February 13, 2014. He is survived by his wife of 53 years, Thankamma Mathew. Dr. Mathew was born and brought up in Kerala, India. After an impressive career in teaching internal medicine in medical schools in India, he made his home in Huntington in 1974. Since then he has practiced locally as a physician. He was well loved by his patients, friends and family. Dr. Mathew's specific wishes were that no flowers, no charitable contribution or special funeral services be held after his demise. We respect his wishes.
