Christopher McCormick, 52, passed away on December 26 at his apartment. He is survived by his father Jack (Diann) McCormick, and his brothers, Shawn, and Darrin (Laura) McCcormick; stepbrothers, Charles (Jenny) Shappell and
Stephen (Samantha) Shappell, stepsisters, Michelle (Scott) Harris and Janette (Ray) Martin. He was preceded in death by his mother, Betty McCormick. He is also survived by aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, and cousins.
Chris lived most of his life in New Haven, where he graduated from New Haven High School. He excelled and received state awards in band, being a trumpet player. He was also a talented singer and loved singing barbershop with his family. He loved playing all kinds of games. Chris graduated from ITT with degrees in electronics and robotics.
Christopher's autism made it difficult for him to navigate through life.
A memorial service will be held in the spring to celebrate his life. His ashes will be interred between his mom and grandma at Lindenwood Cemetery.
