Christopher “Chris” Joseph Utterback, 37, passed away Monday, February 11, 2019 at his home. Born April 9, 1981 in Fort Wayne, he was a graduate of Snider High School. During his high school tenure, he was part of the foreign exchange program where he met many friends, including Miriam. He enjoyed German heritage, traveling to Germany, and forming deep connections while there. Chris furthered his education at IPFW and was a meter specialist with Indiana Michigan Power Company for over 9 years, from which he retired. Chris enjoyed playing video games, watching movies, caring for his pets, and treasuring his friendships. He is survived by his mother, Kimberly A. (Mike Eagleson) Stier of New Haven; father, Karl D. (Sandra Gray) Utterback of Fort Wayne; companion, Monique Jordan of Fort Wayne; an aunt; several uncles; many cousins; and a host of friends, both in the United States and Abroad. He was preceded in death by his maternal grandparents; paternal grandparents; and an uncle. Private services will be held by the family at a later date.
