

Clarence James Anderson Jr., 82, passed away on Friday, June 20, 2025, at Heritage Park in Fort Wayne, Indiana. Clarence was born in Marion, Indiana on September 30, 1942, to parents, Clarence James Anderson Sr. and Dorothy Bernice (Counterman) Anderson. He was a 1960 graduate of Churubusco High School. Clarence married his loving wife Susan (Hudson) Anderson on August 18, 1995, and spent many years together before her passing in 2015. Clarence worked for many years with International Harvester, Norfolk Southern, and Nucor before his retirement. Whether it was hunting or fishing, Clarence found comfort when he was able to enjoy time in nature. He was an avid darts player and actively played in leagues and tournaments to test his skill. Clarence is survived by his children, Dawn (Keith) Anderson-Thomas of North Carolina, Rick (Dee) Anderson of South Carolina; siblings, Pat Syndram of New Haven, Steve (Jenny) Anderson of Columbia City, Debbie (Wayne) Alsbrook of Texas; seven grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews. He is preceded in death by his wife, Susan Anderson; parents, Clarence James Anderson Sr. and Dorothy Bernice Anderson; brother, Randy Anderson; brother-in-law, Dave Syndram; and grandson, Justin Gaff. There will be a Celebration of Life held on Saturday, July 12, 2025, from 1PM-2PM at Advantage Funeral Home – Highland Park 2403 East Wallen Road, Fort Wayne, Indiana, 46825. A memorial service will follow immediately after at 2PM, officiated by Pastor Keith Schreffler. The family would like to thank Parkview Hospice for all their services in caring for Clarence.
