Connie Moreno, 89, of Fort Wayne, Indiana passed away peacefully at home on Wednesday, February 7, 2024. Connie was born in Malakoff, Texas on December 6, 1934, she was a daughter of the late Isaac and Alejandra (Guerrero) Mendez. Connie retired with 19 years of service with Lincoln Life Insurance. Surviving is her husband of 73 years, Richard Moreno; children, Debra Nelson, Joann Moreno, Veronica Moreno and Randy Moreno; nine grandchildren, Rachel, Isaac, Rina, Destini, Justin, Adam, Richard, Hunter, and Natalia; eleven great-grandchildren; and four great great-grandchildren. She was also preceded in passing by her son, Richard Moreno; daughter, Kristina Ryan; six sisters; and four brothers. A funeral service will be held at 1:00 pm on Friday, February 16, 2024, at Klaehn, Fahl & Melton Funeral Home 6424 Winchester Road, Fort Wayne, Indiana 46819 with visitation beginning at 10:00 am. Burial to follow the service at Covington Memorial Gardens.
